In Loving Memory of Dave Robinson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dave Robinson.  Dave was instrumental in the founding of Lehigh Valley United.  In the early 1990's Dave was hired by LVU founder, Lou Ramos, to utilize his training company, "Soccer STM (Skills/Tactics/Methods)," to develop players from around the Lehigh Valley.  Dave's vision regarding soccer training methodology became the foundation that eventually evolved into Lehigh Valley United.  Simply put, LVU would not exist without Dave Robinson.

Dave served Lehigh Valley United as a Coach, Board Member and Advisor.  A student-athlete at Oneonta College, he was a stalwart in the girls' EPA and Region I ODP program during the 1980s & 1990s, coached high level youth teams in the Lehigh Valley and Harrisburg areas, and assisted Jeff Tipping at Muhlenberg College.  Dave held a USSF "A" License and was involved in Coaching Education on behalf of US Soccer.  Dave loved Liverpool FC.

The environment and environmental conservation was near and dear to Dave.  He hiked often and could be found alongside highways cleaning up litter or maintaining soccer fields.  An expert skier and certified Ski Instructor, Dave took to the empty summer slopes as a Hand Glider.  Dave was an avid daily reader with an intelligence and sharp wit that fueled his snarky, sarcastic sense of humor.

Dave will be deeply missed, but not forgotten.

"You'll Never Walk Alone."

Please join us on November 12th at the Lou Ramos Center (1344 North Sherman St., Allentown PA) to remember and celebrate Dave's life.
