Here are some answers to questions many of you might already have:

Q - Is playing for a LVU team a year round commitment?
A - Although the coach ultimately decides the exact schedule of the team, LVU teams play more heavily in the fall and spring, lighter in the winter, and very light in the summer.

Q - Can LVU players play other sports?
A - Yes they can. Many of the players on our most successful teams play other sports such as basketball, baseball, track, etc...   We find that the most successful LVU players tend to prioritize soccer.

Q - What League's will LVU 98/99/2000 play in?
A - LVU seeks out the best competition in Pennsylvania and the tri-state area.  DELCO and MAPS/ PAGS AND JAGS are 2 leagues we often participate in at the younger age groups that offer a high caliber of play.  A team can usually count on a 10 game fall schedule with 5 home games and 5 away games with a traveling time of 30 min - 75 min.

Q - What is the cost for a year?
A - LVU is very transparent with the team budgets.  A simple formula of adding all the costs: Tournament fees, Ref Fees, Outdoor/Indoor Field Fees, Uniform fees, etc...    plus the coaching fees, and then divide by the number of players will give you the yearly cost (costs of the above will be provided in detail).  Note that LVU will not turn any player away based on financial need.  The "Lou Ramos Fund" exists to help those in need participate at LVU.  This question will be discussed in further detail in the next 2 months.

United FC is pleased to announce it's latest program:
LVU Futures (or another catchy name)

LVU Futures is a development team/team's of Under 7 players.  Our intention with this group is to introduce these young players to LVU's most basic and most important core values of technique in soccer:  Foot skills.

All LVU Coaches and Trainers devote part of every training session to Foot skills.  LVU players are able to master the technical and tactical problems that arise in 1 vs 1 play due mainly to their comfort with the ball at their feet.

So many Under 7's participate in our Winter Academy, on our U8 Iron Lakes team, or are already part of our club as younger siblings and friends, that we feel this Program makes perfect sense and will be a great success.

LVU Futures will practice once a week.  The focus of these sessions will be Foot skills, Small Sided games, Learning what it means to be a LVU player, and fun.
